Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro Leak Reveals Bigger Battery, Slightly Larger Display

Details on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro were so far rare. New leaks now speak of a significantly larger battery and a slightly larger screen compared to the current S25. Samsung may position the Pro model as the successor to the standard S25.
S26 Pro probably replaces the standard model
It was recently announced that Samsung is planning a radical model change for the upcoming S26 series. So the standard S26 will probably disappear from the market and replaced by the S26 Pro. While there were already some leaks on the camera, the battery and memory as well as a design mockup, it has been relatively quiet so far-until now.
So the image of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro is now a little clearer thanks to new leak information. The specifications that appeared said that the S26 Pro should be equipped with a 6.27-inch display. This would only be minimally larger than the 6.2 inches of the current Galaxy S25 and is likely to address the same users – customers who prefer a compact flagship option.
Battery upgrade is confirmed
The information on the battery capacity of the Galaxy S26 Pro is also interesting. Leaker Digital Chat Station (via Gsmarena) confirmed a 4,300 mAh battery. This would correspond to a slight plus compared to the 4,000 mAh of the Galaxy S25. It is the second time that this capacity appears in connection with the battery of the S26 Pro. Similar rumors, which are now underpinned by the new information, were already circulating at the end of July. However, the leaker does not reveal any further details in his post. Other numbers, such as those at the charging speed, are not mentioned.
Silicon-carbon batteries are left out
Despite the increase in capacity, Samsung could remain with his conventional lithium-ion battery technology. While competitors such as OnePlus already use silicon carbon batteries with significantly higher capacities, Samsung is currently still shy away from using this technology. Due to their higher energy density, silicon-carbon batteries enable up to 20 percent more capacity with the same space requirement. Instead, Samsung may focus on the “SuS Can” battery technology already mentioned in May. According to earlier reports, it could lead to significantly larger batteries and improved charging skills in the S26 series and promises more efficient use of space within the battery. However, specific details about this technology are still pending.
What makes the Pro model special?
The name “Pro” for the successor model of the Standard S25 is currently about questions based on this first information. The battery of the S26 Pro becomes slightly larger compared to the S25 and the display grows minimally. It remains to be seen which features could justify the “Pro” in the name. But it is still too early for a judgment. After all, the S26 Pro could score with a higher resolution or faster charging. Improved camera features, additional AI functions or premium materials would also be conceivable. The Galaxy S26 Pro may only be a ‘normal’ S26 with a name that is to be spiced up for marketing, which is intended to justify higher prices.
After all, a gap in Samsung’s Galaxy offer is likely to be created due to the elimination of the standard model, which is probably not only closed with the EDGE version of the cell phone and in which the S26 Pro should possibly come across. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be presented in January 2026 if Samsung follows its proven schedule. Traditionally, the South Korean manufacturer presents its new Galaxy S models at the Galaxy Unpacked Event at the end of January or early February. Until then, further details about the planned innovations should be leaked.
