Samsung Galaxy S7 (2018) is Getting the October 2021 Software Update

Samsung is rolling out the October 2021 software update to Samsung Galaxy S7 (2018). The update comes with the latest security patch and some bug fixes. The update is currently available in Brazil only.

Samsung released the Galaxy S7 back in 2015 with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display, a single rear camera setup, a 2600mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (28 nm) SoC. But this October Software Update is not for the Galaxy S7 (2015), it is for the later model that premiered in 2018.

The Galaxy S7 (2018) is an improved version with a 6-inch Super AMOLED display, a triple rear camera setup, a more powerful 3300mAh battery, and Samsung’s own Exynos 7885 (14 nm) SoC.

The current software update for Galaxy S7 (2018) is coming with firmware version A750GUBS6CUJ2, October 2021 security patch, and some improvements. The security patch is fixing more than 60 vulnerabilities related to privacy and security.

If you reside in Brazil and hold Samsung Galaxy S7 (2018), you can get the new update from Settings » Software update and tap on Download and install. Those residing out of the region may have to wait for a little to get this latest software update.
