Samsung Halts One UI 7 Rollout After Critical Bugs Surface

Samsung has stopped the distribution of the long delayed one UI 7.0 update based on Android 15 worldwide. The reason for this is a serious mistake, specifically, unlimited problems cause displeasure among many users.

Critical bug stops Samsung update

Samsung has stopped the distribution of the long-awaited One UI 7.0 updates for its current flagship smartphones. The Galaxy S24, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are affected. The firmware was removed by the Samsung servers after a critical error was discovered. The well -known leaker Ice Universe reported on X that a serious mistake was found after the firmware for the Korean Galaxy S24 series was released.

So far, Samsung has not officially commented on the problem. How Android Authority reports, the problem with One UI 7.0 has been going on for a long time. Samsung had released a total of six beta versions for the Galaxy S24 and tested the update for months. There were also several beta versions for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, the company does not seem to have succeeded in removing all critical mistakes before the release.

The delays at One UI 7.0 already have an impact on the entire update time plan from Samsung. Actually, the Galaxy S23, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5 should also get the update this week. These plans should now also be on ice. The new shift is particularly unfavorable for Samsung. The One UI 7.0 Update collides in time with the preparations for Android 16 and One UI 8, which may be released earlier than usual, more precisely in July 2025.

The schedule is now “uncomfortably tight,” said experts due to the new delay. Users who have already installed the update will probably receive a correction update shortly as soon as Samsung has fixed the problem. It is currently not known when the distribution of One UI 7.0 for all users will be resumed.
