It is speculated that the South Korean conglomerate could debut four models for its upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 series. Previously, it was rumored that the company could introduce Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra models. However, some recent pieces of information indicate that Samsung will possibly introduce a Galaxy Tab S9 FE. This is in accordance with the recent Geekbench listings.
Samsung might be working on a Galaxy Tab S9 FE
For a long time, it has been reported that Samsung will unveil three flagship Android tablets later in 2023. However, this is not something new since the company introduced the Tab S8 series with three models. As per the reports, the base Galaxy Tab S9 will feature the model numbers SM-X710 (Wi-Fi), SM-X716B (5G Global), and SM-X718U (5G US). On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S9+ will be branded by SM-X81* and the Ultra model by SM-X91*.
For the first time, the company will feature IP67 (dust and water resistance) on its flagship tablets. All the tablets will be fueled by overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. During all this time, there was no word about a Galaxy Tab S9 FE. If we look at the previous track record of the company, then it is evident that Samsung introduced a Galaxy Tab S7 FE back in May 2021. However, the Galaxy Tab S8 series didn’t include a FE variant.
As of now, the listings on the Geekbench indicate a tablet with model number SM-X516B. This model number is the same as the above-mentioned devices. So, it could be possible the Galaxy Tab S9 FE or in other cases a new mid-range tablet from Samsung. The company will debut the Galaxy Tab S9 FE with Exynos 1380. It is a mid-range processor that was announced by the company earlier this year. It has also been used in the global variant of the Galaxy A54 5G.
The new Samsung tablets will be released in the H2 2023
The company will expectedly unveil the new flagship tablets somewhere in August or September 2023. It could also debut the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 foldable along with the tablet series. Moreover, the company is also preparing to unveil the Galaxy Watch 6 series and a new pair of TWS earbuds.
