Samsung: One UI 7 Update Lahm Lahm Galaxy A56

A current One UI 7 software update for the Samsung Galaxy A56 causes significant problems: Users report that their smartphones no longer start properly. However, a solution promises quick help – without data loss or factory reset.

Boot problems according to Galaxy A56 update

A few weeks ago, Samsung released an Android update for the Galaxy A56, which should actually bring support for Gemini Side buttons and other improvements. Instead, the update of isolated users leads to a serious problem: the devices get stuck during the starting process. The problem is often shown immediately after installing the youngest One UI 7 updates.

Affected devices remain on the boot screen and do not load into the system. While not all Galaxy A56 smartphones are affected, the error occurs frequently enough to cause concern. So far, the problem only seems to appear in Europe and therefore probably also in Germany. In the United States, the Galaxy A56 has not even been officially introduced, which is why the outcry is still comparatively quiet.

Simple solution without data loss

A surprisingly simple method promises to remedy: User only has to remove the SIM card from the device and then force a restart by pressing the volume and power button at the same time. As soon as the smartphone has started successfully, the SIM card can be used again.

  • Switch off the Samsung Galaxy A56
  • The SIM card from the corresponding subject
  • Switch on the Samsung Galaxy A56 without a SIM card
  • Wait until the boot process is successfully completed
  • Put the SIM card back into the Samsung Galaxy A56

This solution has proven to be successful among many affected users. It should also be mentioned that other A series models, such as the Galaxy A36 and A26, which received the same update, are not affected by the problem. An official confirmation of the error on the part of Samsung and a suitable update editorial team is still pending.

Background to the update

The One UI 7 Update was originally supposed to improve the integration of Google’s Gemini-KI into the Samsung ecosystem. The side button functionality enables faster access to AI functions through special key combinations.

Experts suspect that the incompatibility between the new Gemini integration and certain SIM card configurations causes the boot error. For users for whom the SIM card method does not work, only the factory reset remains as the last option. However, this should be avoided if possible, since all the data that has not been secured beforehand is lost.
