Samsung receives the ISO 22301 Certificate for Business Continuity Management System (BCMS)

COVID has badly impacted businesses all across the world. Similar is the case with the tech industry. One of the most obvious effects can be observed in the semiconductor market in the tech industry. The disruptions in the supply chain as well as economic recessions have played a major role in the decline of the semiconductor market. No tech company is immune to these drastic changes. Samsung, the South Korean tech company has faced challenges throughout the previous year. But despite these troubles and turmoil, the company has managed to receive the ISO 22301 Certificate for Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) from the British Standards Institution (BSI).

ISO 22301 is regarded as the international standard for BCMS. It embodies the commitment to the business community in addition to preparations for challenges. The certificate is awarded to an organization that has the capacity to continue its business even after critical situations presented within global constraints i.e., Samsung Electronics.

BSI Korea COO mentioned that the tech firm Samsung had shown strong willpower with a robust business continuity management system. It has portrayed great crisis monitoring as well as response capacities.

The tech company, on the other hand, states that it will continue with its current efforts to improve the business resilience and management system. It aims to resolve the conventional crisis and emerging problems like disruptions in the global supply chain. Furthermore, the South Korean tech company is now looking forward to receiving more ISO 22301 certifications for several other semiconductor campuses both inside and outside the native country. The business firm plans to attain customer confidence through these standards.
