Samsung just rolled out a new One UI Watch 4.5 beta update, available on the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic smartwatches. This new version only fixes some bugs reported by users.
While we got our first look at One UI Watch 4.5 in early July 2022 thanks to a post from renowned leaker Evan Blass, Samsung just released and implement a new beta version of its future overlay specifying that the stable and final version is expected for September 2022and that it will equip the new Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro in particular. The following Samsung-connected watches were officially presented on August 10, 2022.
One of the most important improvements is a significant increase in autonomy, up to 80 hours of use with the Watch 5 Pro thanks to its 590 mAh battery. As for the standard model, one will have to be satisfied with an autonomy of 50 hours. Samsung also promised superior performance, up to 27% according to the South Korean company.
But back to the latest beta of One UI Watch 4.5. Accessible on the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic, this new build fixes several user-reported bugs that were present in previous beta versions. First, Samsung fixed an issue that caused the text to disappear from the screen when auto-suggestions are turned on.
Then the watch reset that could occur during watch-only mode exercises has also been resolved. The changelog also states the correction of a problem in the power saving mode. Indeed, the device automatically exited this mode while charging and the battery level exceeded 15%. Through this new beta, the watch will remain in power-saving mode as long as the user does not manually deactivate it.
Finally, and with regard to owners of Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic with an LTE connection, this version fixes an issue that prevented the receipt of disaster warning messages greater than 255 bytes. Let’s add that the Flashlight application has also been updated. In general, the changes made are less than in previous beta versions of One UI Watch 4.5, suggesting the imminent arrival of the stable version of Samsung’s overlay.
