Samsung just launched its free and ad-supported Smart TV Plus streaming service for the web. This streaming service is for live and linear programming. It also supports Chromecast devices.
These services were initially limited to Samsung TV and mobile devices. Interestingly, this service was released in Q2 of the current year, i.e. ahead of July 2021. So it has been at least ten days or so since the company launched this service.
Talking about Samsung TV Plus, this service has been reaching Samsung smart TVs since 2016.
With this launch for the web, we could expect the service to go even big, capturing a larger portion of the streaming audience, going beyond smart TVs.
