Samsung Wallet will now support driver’s licenses
Samsung is bringing improvements and updates for its wallet app. Along with security updates, Samsung also has new card options in the app. About three months ago, Samsung revealed for its users that they’ll be able to add driver’s license to the app. It was announced for the app users in US. With the latest update, it’s now confirmed that users in Arizona, USA will be able to add driver’s license to Samsung wallet app. Although, the app version must be compatible with Samsung device.
In Arizona, Samsung Wallet users may add their driver’s license and other state IDs to the app. The Arizona Department of Transportation made the announcement on its website and via its X profile. They may then quickly and securely present their IDs at specific TSA (Transportation Security Administration) checkpoints, such as Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. More states and airports will be supported by Samsung Wallet in the future.
The Samsung Wallet app is protected by Samsung Knox, and users may access their state IDs using their PIN or fingerprint. The program shows a virtual driver’s license or other state ID, as well as the user’s pertinent information and a QR code that authorities may scan. Samsung wallet was created by merging two Samsung apps; Samsung Pass and Samsung Pay. Through this app, users are able to make mobile payments, store login credentials, official Documents, membership/loyalty card, digital car keys, digital keys for smart locks, health passes, coupon gift cards, tickets, boarding passes along with that they can manage any kind of crypto currencies or assets.
