Samsung will introduce better camera lens switching and improved picture remaster to more Galaxy phones

Just a few weeks ago, the tech giant Samsung unveiled its flagship Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy S23 series comprise Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Reportedly, the company introduced several major updates and improvements with its latest high-end smartphone series. Some of the notable improvements were related to the cameras. These improvements deal with the following:

  • Improved stabilization
  • Better exposure
  • Smooth switching between camera lenses

As of now, some recent pieces of information indicate that Samsung is all set to introduce these new improvements to older Galaxy smartphones.

As per the information from tipster GaryeonHan, Samsung will introduce the new features to the following devices:

  • Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20
  • Galaxy S21, Galaxy S22
  • Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Flip 5G, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Flip 4
  • Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4

All these smartphones will receive enhanced photo remastering in the Gallery app. Where the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy Z Fold 4 will also receive the feature that enables smooth switching between camera lenses.

The recent changes will be rolled out via a software update. However, it is uncertain which updates will introduce such features to older Galaxy smartphones. besides this, the exact timeframe of the update is unknown at the moment.

Samsung has already introduced several improvements with the One UI 5.1 updates. The improved features include instantly adjusting the selfie color tones and simpler access to the Expert RAW app. In addition to this, more Galaxy smartphones will receive the Astrophotography feature that was introduced with the Galaxy S22 series.
