Samsung’s low-cost Galaxy Z Fold 6 could arrive later than the standard models
The South Korean tech giant Samsung is rumored to announce a more affordable option for its foldable series this year besides the two high-end versions. According to a new report from the Korean publication The Elec, the company might debut the entry-level foldable in the same time frame when Apple releases its new iPhone series.
Initially, the article clarifies what Samsung intends to do with its standard Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 devices. The Elec claims that Samsung is speeding up the timeline for producing parts for its upcoming foldable phones. It indicates that the mass production for components of the upcoming foldable could start by May. Well, this is quite early as compared to the last year models. From this perspective, we can expect the standard Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 at some point in July this year. In contrast to this, last year the Galaxy Z5 series debuted in August.
The budget-friendly Galaxy Z Fold 6, on the other hand, might make its debut later than the standard models. According to rumors, it might arrive in September or October to steal the limelight from Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 series.
There are not many details regarding affordable Z Fold. However, it is anticipated that it might arrive with a few design changes that could make it less expensive. In support of claim, it has been rumored that it won’t arrive with the Samsung’s S Pen stylus. In addition to this, the report suggests that the company believes that the cheaper Galaxy Z Fold 6 would attract a huge number of users. Though its anticipated quantity is between 200,000 and 300,000, it could nevertheless have an impact on customer choices in comparison to the iPhone 16.
