According to some recent pieces of information, Google Meet will no longer be available on Samsung smart TVs and monitors. Google appears to have decided to concentrate on Android instead of providing its communication services on platforms owned by other companies. Millions of users will be impacted by this.

According to reports, the company has begun notifying users about the upcoming change. Reportedly, the app is going away next month, on March 9, 2024. It appears that Google intends to focus more on Android TV and Google TV instead of Tizen. In related news, Google Assistant won’t be available on Samsung TVs and Monitors in the future.

The smart monitors and TVs launched in the timeframe of 2021-2023 featured support for Google Meet. Interestingly, the smart TVs and monitors that debuted this year don’t come with the Google Meet app. Some of the Digital Signage products of Samsung, including The Flip, QMB-T, QBB, QBB-N, QMB, QMB-N, QHB, QBC, QBC-N, QMC, QHC, OHB-S, OHB, BEC-H, IAB, and IAC series, will lose support for the Google Meet app.

Google Meet will also no longer be supported by the Smart Monitor M50 (and newer/higher-end variants) and the Odyssey G65 (and higher-end models) monitors. Beginning on February 9, 2024, users of all these devices will receive an in-app message regarding Google Meet’s closure. The service will officially end on March 9, 2024. Samsung might come up with alternate options in the future.
