Saudi Arabia giving citizenship to robot but not humans

A humanoid artificially intelligent robot named “Sophia” became the first robot from “Hanson Robotics” in the world to receive the rarely available Saudi Citizenship on Wednesday. During the Future Investment Initiative conference, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that they are granting her citizenship.

A clear example of robots being replacing humans in a favorable manner or it’s just a courtesy to invite technology in the country.

The video below is featured with Sophia’s interview that is interesting to watch, she was interviewed by Andrew Ross Sorkin in Riyadh at the conference.

“I am very honored and proud of this unique distinction. This is historical to be the first robot in the world to be recognized with a citizenship,” Sophia said.

How she answered all the questions is interesting to watch:

  • Saw this already in the movie. The A.I. persecuted by humanity fled into the dessert where they built their city called zero one. There they out performed their human workers and dominated the other production companies. Collapsing the workforce and making the human race obsolete.

Whole generations of people without a purpose.
