Scary Fast: Apple Continues to Extend Invitations for October 30 Mac Event

In the past few days, new information about an upcoming Apple event has been coming in – now the date has been set. Apple invites you to the “Scary Fast” Mac event next Monday, October 30th.

Apple online event only

The company has now announced this, confirming last week’s rumors – there will be a number of new launches this year. The next Apple event will take place as an online event on the evening of October 30th and will probably be a Mac-only event. The invitations to the press are out. The title for the event “Scary Fast” reveals a lot this time. Updates are expected for the iMac with fast Apple M processors and large displays.

What is unusual for Apple this time is the timing of the event. In Germany, the event will be streamed at 1 a.m. and of course not until October 31st.

What To Expect?

New Mac models are likely to be unveiled at the event, including possibly finally a new 24-inch iMac. The iMac is long overdue for an update, as it still runs on M1 chips while virtually all other Macs have already switched to M2 processors.

It remains uncertain whether there will be more new Macs to see. There have recently been new rumors that new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models, which are supposed to launch with an M3 CPU, will not appear before the beginning of 2024.

Many are certainly hoping that Apple will introduce new iPads. A refresh of the iPad range, including an M2 iPad Air and a refreshed iPad mini, could arrive as an update soon. However, there is no indication that this will be announced next week.
