Significant Improvement in Microsoft Product Activation Exploit

A hacker collective named Massgrave has made one of the most important progress in the field of Windows and Office piracy. With a new tool, almost all Windows and Office products should be unlocked.

TSFORGE cracks everything

The group has been offering its “Microsoft Activation Scripts” (MAS) toolkit for some time. This has now been published in version 3.0. The essential innovation is the so -called “TSForge Activation”. With this one wants to have completely overcome the DRM in many Microsoft products so that they can be activated permanently.

Otherwise, TSFORGE has another feature to offer that should be well received by many users, but less at Microsoft: According to the developers, it also enables Windows 10 Security Updates to be received beyond the official support end in October 2025. Microsoft actually only offers this against payment.

The hackers claim that TSForge is one of the most effective and far-reaching activation exploits that has ever been integrated into MAS. Microsoft’s DRM system, known as “Software Protection Platform” (SPP), stores product activation data in two central files: “Data.dat” and “tokens.dat”.

The TSFORGE method manipulates these files and makes the system accept fake product key or confirmation IDs as real. TSFORGE supports Windows 7 and newer versions, including Windows Server (2008 R2 to 2025), as well as office versions from 2013 to 2024. Users can not only activate regular office and Windows versions, but also paid additional programs such as the “Extended Security Updates “program (ESU) for Windows 7 to 10 use or extend updates for Windows 10.

Microsoft is silent

The developers of Massgrave emphasize that Microsoft’s current DRM system is much more mature than previous versions, especially in comparison to the copy protection from Windows XP, which is called “poorly designed”. Nevertheless, they managed to develop effective bypass. Particularly piquant: The MAS toolkit is a open source project hosted on github – a platform that Microsoft belongs to itself. The developers therefore argue that it is not classic piracy, but an alternative activation method, which is allegedly even used by Microsoft employees when official attempts at activation fail.
