Small update: Apple release candidate for iOS 15.3 published

The releases and updates are not over yet, Apple has released a new pre-release version for iOS 15.3. The beta test is already coming to an end with big steps – according to the current information, it is a release candidate. The finished update could therefore be released shortly.

The update to iOS 15.3 is now available for developers and should also appear in the public test program soon. There are also new versions for iPadOS 15.3, tvOS 15.3, and watchOS 8.4 in the beta program. According to Apple, the third beta version is already a serious release candidate, which means that it will not be long before all iPhone users receive a new update. The second beta for iOS 15.3 was only released last week.

Not much is known about the individual changes in the iOS 15.3 beta. Supposedly, it is only about a few changes, mostly bug fixes. iOS 15.3 is basically only about optimizations, new features are not introduced.

The new update is now available as an update. Registered users simply get the new version as an over-the-air update. Those who have not yet registered for the beta program can still do so and join the beta phase. Participation is free of charge and requires a one-time registration for the program at beta.apple.com/sp/en/betaprogram from the corresponding supported device. The Apple ID is required for this.

Once you have registered, you will receive new beta versions automatically, just like with any other update. However, you should keep in mind that unforeseen problems might occur, as with every beta version. Apple, therefore, warns with every new round of beta testing that it is better not to use your production iPhone, but a second device for the tests.
