Ministry of Information Technology (MoIT), National Information Technology Board and the Capital Development Authority has joint forces to come up with an App for Islamabad City. The collaboration is with the aim to provide an opportunity to the residents of Islamabad to get aware with travelling spots of their city and thus discover it.
This application can provide users access to different government institutions, law enforcement departments and emergency phone directory as per the location of the user.
Islamabad city app gives information on stations of Metro Bus, Emergency contact numbers, hospitals, restaurants, crime reporting departments, complaint handling offices, fuel station info and a lot more as per a statement.
At the inauguration of this app Anusha Rehman, the State Minister for Information Technology said that this is a step towards creating Smart Cities in Pakistan and digitalizing the nation, which is the motive of MoIT.
You can now use this app by downloading it from Google Play Store.
One thing that needs to be said here is that this App may be for Islamabad Citizens but other residents of other cities should also download it. They should explore different aspects of the city and know about the city if they ever visit it in future.
