It could take as little as seven seconds to pass through Dubai International airport by using smart gates. An initiative by General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.
Director of (GDRFA) Dubai, Major general Mohammed Ahmed Al Merri said they have a strategic plan to introduce smart systems in order to ease the passengers screening and check-in procedures at Dubai Airports.
“It’s our priority to provide smart services to the public which could reduce stress, time and effort. Recently, we have introduced several smart services at the airport to make travel experience much better” he added.
According to Gulf News, Travellers can now use their smartphones to pass through the smart gates at the airport.
GDRFA also unveiled future plans of installing modern escalators at the airport to make travelers and public happy. There are many ideas under consideration for future escalators which will be implemented by 2030.
“We have plans for improved security for travelers and data to build the digital fingerprint platform, we are also cooperating with international organizations to implement the future plans. We have already started the first phase in this regard by cooperating with Emirates airline, Emaratech as well as a group of international organizations, said GDRFA.
