Snapdragon Tech Summit 2022: Qualcomm Postpones The Chip Event
Qualcomm has scheduled this year’s Snapdragon Tech Summit for November instead of the usual December. The event is expected to introduce the successors of chips such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3.

Qualcomm will hold the summit as early as November of this year. As part of the conference, there will be a preview of the CPU cores developed specifically during the Nuvia acquisition that will be the first to be used in a notebook arm processor.
However, the successor to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 for smartphones still has to rely on slightly modified Arm Cortex cores. Sampling of processors with Nuvia cores is planned for this summer, but the first devices with them are not expected to hit the market until 2023.
