The South Korean conglomerate will be organizing its next Galaxy Unpacked event by the end of this month. The company will expectedly unveil the two foldable smartphones as well as three new tablets i.e., the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Before the official event, several sources shared information about the features and pricing of the upcoming Tab S9 series.
Specification of the Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, S9 Ultra
As per the information shared by tipster Ishan Agarwal, the display of the Galaxy Tab S9 is an 11-inch OLED 120Hz screen with WQXGA resolution. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S9+ and the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra feature a 12.4-inch OLED 120Hz screen and a 14.6-inch OLED 120Hz screen respectively with slightly higher WQXGA+ resolution than the base model.
All three models are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The base model offers 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, whereas the high-end models offer 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Other features that are common to all three models include an optical fingerprint reader, a quad-speaker setup, an S Pen support, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, and Samsung DeX.
The base model features a 13MP back camera and a 12MP front camera. It includes an 8,400mAh battery. The Galaxy Tab S9+ could feature a dual camera setup i.e., a 13MP and an 8MP camera setup on the back and a 12MP front camera. It might be powered by a 10,090mAh battery. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra could feature a 13MP+8MP dual-camera setup on the back and a 12MP+12MP front-facing camera. it is said to be powered by an 11,200mAh battery. Reportedly, all three models will feature an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Galaxy Tab S9 series will feature Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 software out of the box. For the Galaxy Tab S8, the beta version of One UI 5.1.1 is already accessible in South Korea. The upcoming series could feature 45W fast charging. They might be eligible for three years of Android OS updates. Similar to other Samsung tablets, the upcoming series will be offered in Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + Cellular options.
Pricing of the Galaxy Tab S9 in Europe
As per a fresh report, the Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab S9 (8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant) might be priced at €929.95 in Europe. Whereas the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant might cost €1,049.95. The Wi-Fi-only model of the Galaxy Tab S9+ with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could cost €1,149 and the Wi-Fi-only version of the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra could cost €1,369.95. These devices will cost significantly more in their 5G iterations.
