Some rumors suggest that HONOR will release its foldable smartphone next month. Well, there is no official information from the company regarding these rumors. Given the foldable smartphone category, HONOR has introduced two smartphones now i.e., HONOR Magic V and Magic Vs. Both devices were introduced last year. Magic V appeared in January 2022 whereas Magic Vs debuted in H2 2022. The company even debuted the Magic Vs in the international market.
As of now, rumors suggest that the company is working on a book-style foldable. It has been named HONOR Magic V2. Reportedly, the smartphone will debut with various new features. some rumors even indicate that the smartphone will feature two different SoC variants. These will be Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 variants. The smartphone will offer 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
It will feature wireless charging
The smartphone will feature a 108MP primary camera. the device is said to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It will support 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Do keep in mind that the previous foldable i.e., the HONOR Magic V and Vs did not feature wireless charging.
Coming towards the refresh rate of the foldable, the HONOR Magic Vs featured a 90Hz refresh rate on the main display and a 120Hz refresh rate on the cover panel. It is rumored that both displays of the upcoming HONOR Magic V2 will feature a 120Hz refresh rate.
It might arrive in the global markets as well
Rumors claim that the device won’t be introduced globally on July 12 instead it will be initially introduced in the Chinese market. The global market will alter receive the HONOR Magic V2. Last year, the global variant of HONOR Magic Vs was released in the global market after a month after its launch in China. The company struggled with beginning the sales.
