Soon OnePlus Devices Will Have A Force Dark Mode

According to the super-spies at XDA Developers, OnePlus could be working on its own version of ‘dark mode’, that brings the functionality to apps that don’t otherwise support it. XDA found certain hints that pointed to the direction of the development in the Settings app’s code in the beta version of OxygenOS for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.

Apparently, the sleuths were able to look at this force dark mode settings page. It doesn’t do anything yet, so they don’t have an affirmative report. But it’s easy to see how this could benefit users, especially those who prefer dark mode all the things.

The picture above explicitly shows that the dark mode OnePlus has to offer will be more ‘universal‘.

There are no reports from OnePlus as to when the company will roll out the update but we hope that it’s sooner than later. The dark mode is wildly popular among users and this will, probably, be well received by the OnePlus community.
