At this year’s Comic-Con and San Diego, the preview of the third season of Star Trek: Picard could not be missed. Paramount had already shown some impressive images in the spring, now with a look at the cast of the series, there is even more enthusiasm for what is to come.
However, if you expected Paramount to release a teaser for the events of the third season, you’ll be disappointed. You can only see the actors in the new short video, but that will also please fans of the series or the old Star Trek: The Next Generation.
In addition to Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard and Jonathan Frakes as Will Riker, LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge), Michael Dorn (Worf), Gates McFadden (Dr. Beverly Crusher), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), and Brent Spiner (Data) are back in their “old” Star Trek roles.
The clip doesn’t show much more than what Paramount had to offer in April, but this time at least we see the former crew of the USS Enterprise in their new uniforms. So far, no exact start date has been announced. The third season will be the last. It is assumed that the first effects can be expected from the spring of 2023.
