T-Mobile shared plans for the next 5-Year, here is a summary

T-Mobile is working big time on its 5G network and shared some plans to improve its bandwidth by 2023. The company states that it planned to cover around 97% of Americans with slower low-band 5G by the end of 2022, while 90% with faster mid-band and mmWave service by 2023.

As of now, 125 million T-Mobile users are covered by its Ultra Capacity plan – mid-band and mmWave. Whereas 287 million are using its Extended Range plan, or low-band 5G plan.

Users getting the Ultra-Capacity plan will start receiving higher speed results from 300 Mbps up to 400 Mbps this year.

As the company is growing merging with other parties, the company’s plans are also extending. Previously T-Mobile has a merger with Sprint, and now the company is planning to acquire spectrums from the FCC’s recent C-band auction. The company offered to acquire 142 spectrum licenses for more than $9.3 billion.

The company also plans on bringing 5G on the C-band to more suburban and urban areas, but the smaller and rural markets will not be ignored. The company targets to capture at least 20% of the market share in these in the next five years with its mobile, home broadband, and 5G products.

The company also rolled out its recent plans for corporate clients following the work-from-home model and will be launching a plan for its in-home broadband users later this month.
