Technology Jobs in America Remained at Number 2, Again

In America, technology jobs are (again) seen at the top paying jobs. Says a report.

America has always remained among the few nations popular for the work on technology. And in the recent times, tech companies are seen to pace up to compete with the rising demand of new advancements. With this, technology jobs in America are now in the top grade.

A recent research done by Glassdoor predicted that of the top 25 high-paying jobs 11 are related to the tech industry. While the healthcare industry contributed 6.

“With nearly half the list comprised of jobs in the tech and healthcare industries, this report reinforces that higher salaries are found in America’s fastest job-creating sectors, which require higher education and in-demand skill sets,” Andrew Chamberlain, the chief economist at Glassdoor said.

The report is a blend of 25 high-paying jobs in America based on the number of jobs available and the median base salary. Physicians are at number 1 of the list with a median base salary of $187,876 and 7,770 job openings (at the time of the research).

While the highest paying job in the technology industry is that of an enterprise architect with a median base salary of $112,560. This high-paying tech job stands at number 6 in the list and at number 1 in the technology list.

Technology jobs in America are in high demand. This is the second year in a row where this industry kept its mark. This calls for better education catering the high-demanded industries.

While doing their research, Glassdoor also came up with reasons for employees leaving a high-paying job. “Finally, we find that job title stagnation hurts employee retention. Every additional 10 months an employee stagnates in a role makes them 1 percent more likely to leave the company when they finally move on to their next position” the research reported in a research: Why Do Workers Quit?
