Honor is planning to release a new smartphone to its Honor Max series. Some say it’s a blend of smartphone and tablet and is calling it “phablet.” The new device is dubbed Honor Max X20.
The new device will feature a large 7.2-inch display and that’s one of the reasons people are calling it a “phablet.” Though we have limited details about the Honor X20 Max, we also learned that this device has a massive 6,000 mAh battery; again a good support to call it a phablet.
Under the hood, we heard this device will come with the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC, having four ARM Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.6 GHz and four ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 2.2 GHz. In terms of software, we expect the device to come with the latest Android 12 OS.
The X20 Max is expected to have a similar design as the Honor X20. If it stands true, the X20 Max will include a punch-hole display with minimal bezels and a large circle in the rear for the camera setup. Obviously, the device will be bigger and wider in size since it has a massive 7.2-inch display.
Some rumors suggest the display on this device will have a Full HD+ display with up to a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 64 MP main camera, and two 2 MP modules for depth and macro photography, and may come in two variants – 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations.
We also heard from a source that the Honor X20 Max will come in the month along with the Honor Watch GS3 smartwatch. Though the company is silent about it.
