The autofill feature on Google Pay is getting an improvement

Among the several payment platforms, Google Pay is one of the most popular among Android users. It is widely used for paying for apps. While making a purchase, several saved cards appear in the app. In a recent development, while using autofill, Google Pay will now name your cards.

The information was shared by folks at 9To5Google. Normally, while making a purchase, the saved cards appear in the form of a list in order to make the payment. The cards show up with the card issuer, expiry date, and the last four digits of the cards. Well, this is good but it can be sometimes troublesome if a user holds more than one card.

When using the autofill function, Google Pay will name your cards

Notably, the company has begun rolling out the new update. The cards will appear as usual in Chrome while using the Google Pay autofill feature. In contrast to this, the card’s name, in association with other relevant information, will appear on the mobile app. Each card holds a particular name that could make it easier to identify the cards. Given this new update, the names of cards will appear instead of other information.

If a user holds one or two cards, then it is not a problem at all. However, some users prefer collecting cards and in such cases, it can be difficult to identify the cards based on the last four digits while making purchases. With the new update, the cards appear in rounded rectangles in the classic Material You design. You have the choice to scan a new card and manage your payment options. Currently, the feature will be rolled out to the Chrome browser. We hope that it might arrive in other Google products in the future.
