The company’s affordable phones have reached their fifth generation with the TCL 50 series. In 2024, the company will debut several smartphones. Five of the smartphones will be dedicated to the US market. Reportedly, the company will announce the TCL 50 XL 5G, TCL 50 XE 5G, TCL 50 LE, TCL 50 XL NXTPAPER 5G, and TCL 50 XE NXTPAPER 5G.
Initially, the company introduced the Nxtpaper phone only in Europe. However, in 2024, the company will introduce the TCL 50 XL NXTPAPER 5G and the TCL 50 XE NXTPAPER 5G in the US. The new smartphones come with an e-reader mode, dual speakers, 5G, and some other features that align with the company’s NXTPAPER display. The new smartphone will be based on NXTPAPER 3.0. Besides this, the company will also introduce the NXTPAPER 14 Pro and Tab 10 NXTPAPER 5G in the tablet category.
On the other hand, the TCL 50 XL 5G features a 6.8-inch FHD+ 120Hz display with Nxturbo. According to the company, Nxturbo reduces power consumption by 17% and enhances GPU performance by 30%. It might come with 8GB of RAM with RAM expansion and a big 5,010mAh battery. A 6.6-inch HD+ 90Hz display with Nxturbo will be available with the TCL 50 XE 5G. It will come with a 50MP triple camera setup, 8GB RAM accompanied by RAM expansion, and a 5,010mAh battery.
The TCL 50 LE, the last model in the series, features the same display specs as the XE 5G. This phone, however, has a 4000mAh battery, a 13MP hybrid camera, and 4GB RAM with 64GB ROM—all of which set it apart from its siblings. The company states that soon it will share details about the availability and prices of these smartphones.
