The development of iOS 18 and macOS 15 has been put on hold for a while

According to some recent information, the development of iOS 18 and macOS 15 has been temporarily stopped. According to reports, due to the bugs and issues reported in the current version of the operating system, the company has decided to halt development. Mark Gurman uncovered the information. According to his information, last week the company shared a message with employees that asked them to pause the development for one week. Reportedly, the pause was requested by Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering.

The current version has a lot of bugs. However, it must have been sufficient to compel Apple to give iOS 17 and macOS 14 bug fixes priority. After that, assign its staff to work on upcoming OS systems. With this pause, the release of iOS 18 and macOS 15 might be delayed since several workers are busy resolving the issues with the current versions.

There are no official details regarding the delay with the upcoming operating system. Reportedly, the company is already done with the initial development of macOS 15 and iOS 18. Several users have raised their concerns about the bugs with the current iOS 17 and macOS 14. Several of them were reported after the devices were updated to the latest versions.

The two recent updates fixes several bugs

The bugs Apple will fix in its next upgrades are still to be seen. The tech company has previously stated that Wi-Fi slowdowns and other connectivity problems could be resolved by iOS 17.2. It is currently in the beta phase. Just recently, the company rolled out iOS 17.1.1, which resolved some major issues like repair for Apple Pay

Apple has just released iOS 17.1.1 to fix some notable bugs, including the problems with wireless communication on select BMW vehicles, which led to the malfunction of NFC services like Apple Pay. The snow icon on the Weather Lock Screen widget has been repaired in the latest update…
