The Honor 90 GT is expected to release alongside the Magic6 Pro in 2023 or 2024
It has been quite a while now since we have been hearing about the upcoming Honor Magic6 series. With several OEMs pushing to release Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 rivals ahead of Honor, their reluctance to announce a debut date for the whole Magic6 series is a little surprising. However, there is evidence to suggest that the catastrophe will actually occur sooner rather than later.
Recently, a new smartphone by the company appeared on an official regulatory database. The appearance of the new smartphone with a new model number has sparked rumors about another flagship from the company. The visit to a database suggests that the smartphone will debut soon. Given that it is the most recent “satellite mobile terminal” (with 5G) to show up in the MIIT database, the BVL-AN16 is thought to be a successor to the Magic5 Pro.
In addition to this, the same smartphone was also spotted in a new 3C listing. It featured the same charging speed, i.e., 100W wired charging, as the ancestor Magic5 Ultimate Editon. Furthermore, soon the company might also debut a new mid-range smartphone. Despite being a last-generation device, it is claimed to be a variation of the 90. However, the “GT” may be a welcome addition as it finally does away with the series’ propensity to divide its camera hump into two designs that are frequently highly subjective in terms of aesthetics. On the other hand, this “new Honor smartphone” adopts a deep navy background with new gold highlights, giving it an appearance more reminiscent of a traffic light.
Last but not least, the two smartphones, i.e., the Honor 90 GT and Magic6 series, might debut simultaneously by the end of this year or early next year.
