The launch event for Huawei P60 and Mate X3 is scheduled for March 23rd
Previously, we have come across several reports regarding the rumored specs and camera updates of the new smartphones by Huawei. Finally, the company has now shared the launch date for its upcoming P60 series. According to recent pieces of information, the company will launch the new flagship smartphones on March 23 at 2:30 PM Beijing time. Interestingly, the event will also debut the Mate X3. Mate X3 is a foldable phone. besides these flagship smartphones, the company will debut several other new products.
Huawei P60 series
As of now, there is no information on the Weibo post of Huawei. Although we can anticipate more information to pour in as the launch event gets closer. Besides this information, some fresh rumors claim that the Huawei P60 series will consist of two devices. These will be a vanilla P60 model and a P60 Pro.
The speculations indicate that Huawei P60 should be accompanied by a pair of 50MP camera modules. These 50MP cameras should come with an IMX888 main sensor and an IMX858 module for the ultrawide. Besides this, it is expected that the smartphone will feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3.5x magnification. On the other hand, the vanilla P60 model should carry a 52MP main cam (IMX789) alongside a 50MP (IMX858) ultrawide module and a 16MP (IMX351) telephoto shooter. In addition to this, the smartphones should be powered by a Qualcomm 8 series chipset- apparently an LTE-only variant of the Snapdrgoan 8 Gen 2 SoC.
Mate X3
For the Mate X3, it is speculated that the foldable smartphone will be accompanied by a next-gen satellite communication feature. Some rumors claim that the smartphone will enable users to send and receive text as well as voice messages via satellite.
