The upcoming flagship by Vivo could feature 200MP telephoto camera and variable aperture

In accordance with some recent pieces of information, Vivo might include some major camera improvements to its next flagship, i.e., the Vivo X100 Pro+. Previously, the company debuted the Vivo X90 Pro and X90 Pro+ with some great camera features. However, the company didn’t include the variable aperture and 200 MP telephoto camera with these devices. But both features will now be included in the upcoming Vivo X100 Pro+.

Like the Vivo X90 Pro and Pro+, the Vivo X100 Pro+ is expected to feature a 1-inch camera sensor. With the addition of a variable aperture, the usability of the sensor will be enhanced, as we have already observed with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, which includes a two-stop variable aperture. On the other hand, Huawei didn’t include the 1-inch camera sensor on the Mate 50 Pro and P60 Pro, but still, they provide great camera results.

If performed correctly, the variable aperture can make a significant difference

It can help generate much more balanced shots and enhance image quality in all lighting circumstances if used appropriately. Unfortunately, we still don’t have all the details, so we’re unsure of how many levels Vivo will provide. The leaked information also suggests that Vivo will utilize the 200 MP telephoto camera in the Vivo X100 Pro+. Currently, there are not many details about it.

Besides these, the leaked information suggests that the Vivo X100 Pro+ will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It will include a 6.78-inch display along with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Vivo X100 Pro+ will feature support for LPDDR5X RAM, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and UFS 4.0 storage. It will also include a 50 MP portrait camera. Furthermore, the smartphone will be IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
