The upcoming HONOR 100 series features lightning-fast charging
HONOR is about to unveil the HONOR 100 series. We have some more information about the upcoming series via a recent certification. Reportedly, the series will have lightning-fast charging. The 3C authority in China certified two members of the HONOR 100 series, which confirms the fast charging speed.
Reportedly, the HONOR 100 series will feature support for 100W fast wired charging. Furthermore, the certification reveals that both HONOR MAA-AN10 and MA-AN00 will feature support for 5G connectivity. We have information about two smartphones; however, the company will unveil three devices, i.e., HONOR 100, HONOR 100 Pro, and the HONOR 100 GT, which are expected to launch.
The base model could feature slow-charging
Both the HONOR 100 Pro and the HONOR 100 GT will likely support 100W charging because they are essentially the same device. There is a slight chance that HONOR 100 might feature support for 100W charging but if the company follows the same pattern as HONOR 90, then it might not.
The HONOR 90 series doesn’t feature support for wireless charging; instead, the HONOR 90 features support for 66W wired charging, whereas the HONOR 90 Pro features 90W wired charging. We can expect something similar with the HONOR 100 series.
The HONOR 100 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
Currently, there are not many details about the features and specs of the upcoming HONOR 100 series. However, it is expected that the HONOR 100 Pro will be powered with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC since its ancestor was powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The “GT” model may have the same processor as the “Pro” variation, while the HONOR 100 is probably going to come with a subpar SoC.
One thing to notice here is that we are talking about a mid-range series and not a flagship one. The company will unveil its flagship HONOR Magic 6 Pro in Q1 2024…
