There are rumors that Samsung is developing a “Ultra” Galaxy Z Fold 6
According to reports, this year, the South Korean tech giant Samsung appears to be interested in adding a new member to its foldable lineup. Since the last few months, we have been learning about an affordable foldable in addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. As of now, a leak from a trusted source indicates that the company is planning something different.
WinFuture reports that in addition to the regular Z Fold 6, the company is working on a premium Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Well, it could be a divider in the company’s foldable series. In a different context, the device will come in two flavors: the standard model and an upgraded edition sold under the Ultra moniker. Currently, there are no details on how the Ultra model will differ from the standard Z Fold 6.
The report claims that the Ultra model will feature a different display size, memory configuration, camera setup, stylus integration, and battery specs. Ross Young, an industry source, confirmed that the two versions differed in how they supported the stylus. Thus, it’s likely that the Ultra model will support the S Pen and the standard Fold 6 might not.
Previous rumors suggested that the cheaper model would not support the S Pen, but this fresh leak points to a change in direction—the Ultra might end up being the S Pen-compatible variant. As of right now, the specifics of this hypothetical “Ultra” variant are unknown. But it’s evident that Samsung is looking into approaches to broaden its range of foldable devices and satisfy a more discerning customer base.
It remains to be seen how the Ultra model will differ from the regular ones. Given the fact that Ultra model will feature high-end specs, we can expect a price hike here as well.
