The South Korean conglomerate Samsung introduced new types of OLED screens at CES 2024. Recent offerings from the company include thin laptop screens, brighter TV and monitor screens, dual-foldable screens for phones, curved and rollable screens for cars, and OELD touchscreens for wireless earbuds.
Reportedly, the company has unveiled a prototype called the Earbuds OLED Case. It is a small and circular OLED panel. Given its small size, it can fit inside the charging case of the wireless earbuds. The circular OLED panel on the top of the Earbuds OLED Case features the battery status of the earbuds and the case, ANC status, and audio modes.
It can be adjusted directly from the earbuds case rather than heading to the earbuds app on a paired device. Additionally, users can quickly switch to a different device using the earbud case’s display. Presently, users are required to use a smartphone app to set the advanced features and settings on the wireless earbuds. In simple words, earbuds must be connected to a smartphone.
The new case will eliminate the requirement of pairing the earbuds with smartphones concerning the settings. The new technology will enable the earbuds to be used with other products like laptops, TVs, and more. In addition to checking the time and changing settings, users may control music playback on the Earbuds OLED Case.
