This year, Realme is bringing back the GT series in India

Later this month, Realme will debut the Realme 12 Pro series in India. Interestingly, the company is going to debut a GT smartphone in the Indian market as well. Marketing Francis Wong, Realme’s Head of Product, announced that the company will introduce a GT smartphone in the Indian market later this year. It was in 2022 that the Realme GT Neo 3 was introduced in India.

Francis Wong disclosed the expectations for Realme’s GT series smartphones in India following a quiet year for the devices. Because of this, the business is reintroducing it to the market later in the year. The details, like the exact name and the launch date of the smartphone, weren’t shared by the company’s executives. He shared the news in response to a question on why the company is not bringing the GT series in India to an X user.

Which Realme GT series phone the company would launch initially in India later this year is still unknown. The GT series is based on smartphones with premium specs and features. The recent GT 5 Pro is a flagship-grade smartphone. After the GET Neo 3, the company shifted its focus to the number series, Nazro phones, and the budget C-series for the Indian market.

The Realme GT 5 Pro, on the other hand, features a 6.7-inch curved OLED display that offers 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of 144Hz. On the rear, the smartphone features a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP main camera, a 50MP OIS telephoto unit, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle unit. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It packs a 5,400mAh battery that features support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
