TikTok Deletes Millions Of Videos From The Platform For Violating Policy Guidelines

TikTok, a popular mobile phone video sharing application, has deleted 14 million videos from the platform for violating guidelines. A statement issued by the TikTok spokesman on Tuesday stated that 14 million of the videos shared on the platform around the world were substandard or ignored policy.

According to the statement, all videos made in violation of the guidelines have been removed. The TikTok Transparency Report states that 96.4% of videos were deleted before users reported them, while 90.3% of videos were reported and removed after users viewed them.

According to the spokesperson, videos made against Corona have also been removed from the platform, and videos made for election or political purposes have also been deleted. TikTok also deleted suicidal, immoral, and nasty videos. The company carried out the crackdown at a time when the US Department of the Economy has imposed a complete ban on TikTok downloads and updates. The U.S. officials believe that user data on TikTok is not secure, with more than 1 billion Americans using the app, whose data is held by a Chinese political party.
