Well, the company has rolled out the new tool to US users.
The company shared the news about the new tool in a support page post. According to the company, users can use this tool and migrate the shows to YouTube Music or other platforms. The new export option will be available to users from today onwards in both the Google Podcasts mobile app and the website.
If you are wondering how to transfer shows to other platforms, don’t worry; the tech giant has explained the whole process for the user’s convenience. The tech giant advises choosing “Export subscriptions” at the top of the page to begin the process. After that, you’ll need to select “Export to YouTube Music” and press “Export.” The next step is to choose “Transfer” and “Continue” in the YouTube Music app. Following that, your subscriptions ought to appear in your library. If you would like to switch to a different platform, you also have the option to download your subscriptions as an OPML file or through Google Takeout.
According to the company, the process can be a bit time-consuming. Besides this, all podcasts won’t be available in YouTube Music. However, using the RSS feed link for podcast shows, users can save missing shows to the library. Currently, the tool is only available to US users. The company asserts that it will roll out updates once the tool is ready to be released in other regions. Since the tool is available, users should begin the migration process as soon as possible, as the app will be unavailable from March 2024 onwards. However, users can still export their subscriptions until July 2024.
