TSMC reported a 20% increase in revenue besides shortage of chips

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) just had a wonderful time in Q2 of 2021. The company reported a 20% increase in revenue for the period. The revenue earned during the quarter was NT$372.1 billion ($13.3 billion USD).

TSMC is a chip manufacturer with Apple being its biggest client. The company besides shortage of supply still made revenue of 20% higher compared to the revenue collected in Q2 of 2020. According to the report, the company reported 23% hype in revenue for June’21.

According to one source, the company is regaining its popularity by expanding its business. The company is increasing its facilities to produce more chips than ever. The company is also working on new technology – EUV (extreme ultraviolet lithography) – which is further going to benefit the company and those using its products.

TSMC is also expecting growth till 2023 after United Microelectronics Corp., a smaller company, said: “chip demand could remain ahead of supply until 2023.”
