Upcoming Galaxy S9 series might be resilient to water and dust

As much as other features are vital for a phone series, so is their resistance to water and dust. These features are usually available for mobile devices, and we don’t hear much about these protocols on tablets. But in the story of the Galaxy Tab, it’s different. As per an announcement from Sam Mobile, the upcoming device, the Galaxy Tab S9, might have the resilience to resist water and dust.

However, you’re surely not planning to swim in the pool with your tablet or use it to watch videos while taking a shower. This feature doesn’t sound that necessary to have, but it’s totally okay to have it.

The upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 might have water and dust resistance

Samsung usually doesn’t put much effort into making the tablets protected; however, it’s quite active in terms of style, power, and portability of the core Galaxy Tabs. However, customers prefer that the company produce devices that are resistant to water and dust.

As we got news from Sam Mobile about confirmation of this protection being included with the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9, Although it’ll not be as good in comparison with mobile devices, it’s surely far better than what we currently have. As per reports, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 series might contain IP67 water and dust resistance capabilities.

Having this strong protection against these factors can make it stay for 30 minutes under water. In other cases, results might vary depending on the quality and depth of the water your device is in.

Also, this much resistance of these devices is only against fresh water, which includes tap water, rainwater, pond water, etc. Other than these, if your device is drenched in some kind of salt water, you need to dry it up immediately. As the salt present in this kind of water can dissolve the adhesive keeping your device watertight.

Although we can’t predict much about this upcoming device for now, Last year, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 were launched side by side, and we can hope for the same this year. Although we can hope that this latest tab will be launched alongside the Galaxy Z fold or flip 5,

As with time, we’ll keep getting updates on these devices to know for sure if they are worthy of spending money on.
