US Mobile’s Multi-Network Feature Delayed, Early Access Available Now

Earlier this week, US Mobile unveiled a groundbreaking new feature: the ability to use two of the three major US networks simultaneously on a single plan. This is a game-changing move, with the last notable attempt at something similar coming from Google Fi in its early days. Today was supposed to mark the general release of this new Multi-Network Functionality add-on, but unfortunately, the launch has been delayed to February 24.
The good news? Existing Unlimited Premium customers can start using the feature today through early access. According to an official announcement on the US Mobile subreddit, customers already on the company’s highest-tier plan will receive an email with instructions on how to opt-in, order, and activate a multi-network line. However, you’ll need a dual SIM phone for this feature to work.
For now, the second line is being offered for free until March 31, after which it will cost $15 per month. This free trial period will also apply to new US Mobile customers and any existing users who upgrade to the Unlimited Premium plan once the feature becomes available to everyone.
US Mobile has also outlined the rollout schedule for the Multi-Network feature:
- Feb 13: Early access begins via the web app (invite-only)
- Feb 24: General release on the web app for all users
- Feb 26: Available on the mobile app for all users
- By Mar 31: Further improvements to the multi-network experience across both web and mobile apps
While the delay is disappointing, it’s a relatively short one. Starting February 24, anyone will be able to add the Multi-Network feature via the web app, though mobile app support will take a couple of extra days to roll out.
If you’re an Unlimited Premium customer, keep an eye on your inbox today and get ready to experience this exciting new functionality!
