Video shows extremely detailed dummy of the console
The rumors and leaks about the upcoming Nintendo console never end. Now a new video is supposed to show a dummy of the Switch 2 that reveals the complete design. Some interesting details can be seen.
YouTuber shows detailed dummy
The YouTube channel SwitchUp which – as the name suggests – exclusively deals with Nintendo’s console, has published a new video. In it you can see an alleged dummy of the Switch 2, which shows the design of the device in detail.
The dummy, which apparently comes from the 3D printer, comes from the Ivoler company. The company makes accessories for electronic devices, such as protective glasses for cell phone screens, but also carrying cases for Valve’s Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch. In order to be able to make such a bag for the Switch 2, Nintendo received information about the upcoming console, from which they were supposedly able to produce the detailed model that can be seen in the video.

Consoles are growing, so are Joy-Cons
The first thing you notice is the dimensions of the Switch 2. Compared to its predecessor, the console is significantly larger. The screen grows by about an inch (approx. 2.5 cm). At the same time, the console remains smaller than the Steam Deck. The new dimensions mean that the Joy-Cons also become larger. This should be good news, especially for players with larger hands.
At times, playing for longer periods of time on the Switch could be a bit uncomfortable for these gamers due to the rather small controllers. New rounded edges should also ensure further ergonomic improvements. This information corresponds to statements from another accessory manufacturer who allegedly had access to a “practically finished” console in September.
As already published leaks mention, the right Joy-Con has an extra “C button”. What it is used for is still a matter of speculation at the moment. SwitchUp suspects, for example, that it could be a “capture button” that allows users to quickly and easily take photos and videos of their games.
An additional connection
It’s also exciting that the Switch 2 probably has two USB-C ports. One is on the bottom edge of the screen and is presumably intended for plugging the console into its dock. The second connection is on the top edge of the display. This means the console can also be charged when it is parked without a dock to play. Real or fake?
How close the dummy comes to the actual design of the Switch 2 can only be guessed at. However, it appears that Ivoler has already produced a suitable carrying bag, as can be seen in the YouTube video. This at least makes it less likely that it is a fake that only serves to draw attention to the company and its products. In addition, many of the existing details on the dummy match information from previous leaks.
