WhatsApp introduces some new features in the Messenger with the new beta version for iOS devices: In addition to improvements in dark mode, iPhone users can look forward to a new sharing function and new menu icons.
The new WhatsApp beta 2.20.40 for iOS is here and brings again some changes, as the blog WABetaInfo reports.
Particularly exciting for owners of an iPhone 8 or iPhone SE: The battery-saving dark mode can now be used by users of the two smartphones without any problems. many users have previously had problems when they wanted to activate the dark mode.
Innovation for all beta users of WhatsApp for iOS: The messenger has adjusted several icons in the menu. Most of these are minor adjustments to the icons, as you can see the changes in the following pictures.
A practical function comes back: If you want to share pictures, tweets or other online posts via WhatsApp, you can do this much faster thanks to the re-integrated “share sheets”. Groups and contacts who have been contacted particularly often are shown to the user after tapping the “Share” button at the top, as shown in the image above.
