WhatsApp Launched Its Group Video Calling Feature

WhatsApp has finally launched its most awaited feature that everyone loves like crazy—the group video calls feature.

The text messaging app information sharer—WABetaInfo posted on Twitter regarding the new update for few Android and iOS beta versions, but, at present, the feature would not be available for everyone. The feature was also to be launched for another Facebook-owned picture sharing application-Instagram, but it is yet to come, as per the reports of Business Insider—India.

The feature is under test mode presently and is available for selected users with the hopes of being made publicly available soon. Also, the feature would be present for all the group members for using the group video calling feature.

The feature introduction was initially announced at the Facebook’s annual developers conference F8. To know whether one has received the feature or not, they could start a normal video call. If they have got the feature, an option would automatically appear—the option would be of “add participant”, as informed by Business Today.

Many other updates were also announced by the social messaging application for group chats including the group descriptions, group catch-on—an option like that of Facebook to “pin” one message at top of the group so that the new group members or the ones who join in on the ongoing conversation could understand that what is going on, admin rights and the ability to play YouTube and Facebook videos within the text messaging app’s platform.
