WhatsApp is working on a logout feature to allow users to sign out of the app whenever they want.
According to a team of researchers, the update may be released soon.
According to the research, the beta version has this feature to logout from WhatsApp. This indicates that the logout option would be available for all. If released, both the iOS and Android versions of the app would have this new feature.
As of now, WhatsApp users could only uninstall the app or delete it if they want to take a short break from the app.
Talking more about the new WhatsApp features, the team of researchers said:
WhatsApp is developing two different kinds of multi-device – Multi-device with WhatsApp Web where you can use WhatsApp Web without your main phone to be connected to the Internet. And multi-device with other devices where you can connect up to 4 different devices to your main WhatsApp account.
In the recent past, the social networking app announced that it was working on a new feature for group chats.
It is stated that this improved mention badge feature of WhatsApp will be available for the Android 2.21.3.13 beta updated version.
