Since WhatsApp was started in 2009 the company has been growing tremendously in terms of usage, WhatsApp has recently announced that the company is able to achieve another milestone reaching 1 billion users per day.
The company said in a blog post that last year we had 1 billion users on monthly basis but now we are excited to say that around 1 billion user WhatsApp everyday across the world.
The company also shows determination to enhance user experience on WhatsApp and commits to deliver more features to the app. WhatsApp has hit 1.3 billion monthly active users and 55 billion messages sent by users everyday.
Further, users on WhatsApp send 4.5 billion images and 1 billion videos every day to other users.
WhatsApp reportedly working on its new app for businesses, using this app SMEs would be able to interact directly to their customers in many ways and vice versa, WhatsApp will verify companies while creating business accounts, once the company name is created it cannot be changed just like the handler name cannot be changed on Twitter if you change it, you lose the verified badge.
This new development will bring more active users to WhatsApp, currently, WhatsApp is testing beta versions of new upcoming features on various operating systems.
