The messaging app WhatsApp can be connected to various devices like tablets, smartphones, and computers. You might think that these devices end the list. Well, not really since the company is going to add support for a new device to the list.
As per some recent pieces of information, the company has rolled out a new beta update for WhatsApp. The updated version is available to participants of the Google Play Beta Program. The new update is available with version 2.23.13.6. It is quite appealing for owners of Meta Quest since it includes something for them.
According to information from WAbetaInfo, the code lines in the beta unveil that users will be able to link their account to a Meta Quest headset. The feature is currently under development. It will take some time before making its public appearance. However, the company has showcased a preview of the upcoming update. The shared images indicate a button in order to link a device. The Device Status is displayed immediately below that button and lists Meta Quest as a device that can be connected.
Previously WhatsApp users have attempted to force the installation of the program on Meta’s headgear. For those looking to natively integrate an existing WhatsApp account into a Meta Quest, this revelation should be great news.
In addition to this, the company has introduced two new features to the Messaging app i.e., WhatsApp. One of those capabilities enables users to block calls from contacts they don’t know. The second function, known as Privacy Checkup, walks users through crucial privacy settings like deciding who can contact them and managing their personal data.
