The five human senses that mankind uses for numerous day to day activities have their own forte’s to excel in. However, when it comes to proficiency then no sense is as astonishingly proficient as the human sense of touch. This is the reason that the sense of touch is the only sense capable of simultaneous input and output. Which is due to stimulus reception and motor response working in tandem. That is why mankind is now more focus on improving haptic technology in order to bring an increase in Human Computer and Human Robot Interaction. Haptic technology is the amalgamation of tactile and kinesthetic feedback. Tactile feedback is touch or sensing touch in easy words. Kinesthetic feedback refers to all other mechanical sensing that humans are capable of via their muscles and joints.
Robots have implementation of Kinesthetic Feedback which makes them seem more humane. It allows for them to react to environment changes such as sudden increases in processing due to an increase in sensory data. Haptic feedback is the overall sense of touch. Incorporating the ideology of the sense of touch in technology is haptic technology. Allowing smartphone screen sensors to sense the slightest of pressure changes for touch detection. This provides tactile feedback for the processor and allowing for a machine to change its shape when meeting a force of greater momentum providing kinesthetic feedback. This is an example of Haptic Technology.
Tactile feedback is the branch of single height binary tree called haptic feedback. With haptic feedback being the node, tactile feedback is in reality mistaken as haptic feedback. However while haptic feedback incorporates all that is the sense of touch, tactile feedback only refers to stimulus sensed on the skin. The skin has numerous sensors underneath it allowing for the skin to be able to sense pressure, vibration, heat, texture and contact. This principle is widely usable in modern technologies allowing them to react to user inputs or general environment.

A prime example is PlayStation 4 controller, smartly provides users vibrations in accordance to level of danger in the games. As a surplus there is also touchscreen that are in use swiping or tapping across to follow game instruction sequences. In a robotic implementation of tactile feedback Tire grip can be smartly readjusted in different weather conditions that allow for more traction. Traction gives more stability. An example is of a wet road which is smoother than a dry road. Wet being more slippery than dry one. Haptic is the basis of a lot of technology in our daily life.
The principle of surface detection allows for an artificially intelligent to adjust the tire’s breadth and indentation so as to better accommodate traction. Perhaps the greatest example of tactile feedback is of the smartphones that are under frequents use of people. The simple principle of pressure detection allows the system to detect the user’s point of touch.
