Windows 11 Canary Build with improved File Explorer

Microsoft has released a new preview in the Canary channel with Windows 11 Insider Build 27768. The new version does not bring any major innovations, but it does bring a number of improvements and bug fixes for the file explorer.
Fine-tuning instead of big throws
Microsoft has released the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build in the Canary Channel. This version, created on January 3, 2025, launches major changes in File Explorer. Users can now find “New Folder” as a new option in the context menu when right-clicking on locations in the navigation bar.
This allows for faster folder creation. Additionally, the ability to change time zones has been restored for standard users. This option is now available under Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time. But that was it for them Windows Blog announced changes.
Otherwise, the preview only contains a number of bug fixes. The focus was particularly on problems in the file explorer. This fixed a bug where the date and time properties of files were unexpectedly updated after copying.
The occasional disappearance of focus from the search field while typing has also been corrected. Further improvements concern the graphics and input. An issue that resulted in oversaturated colors in some games when using the Auto HDR feature has been resolved. A bug that could cause the mouse cursor to stutter unexpectedly has also been fixed.
Known issues
There are still some known problems. For example, users may have difficulty rendering minimized File Explorer windows. The command “SFC /scannow” also currently shows errors every time it is executed. The Insider team is already working on solutions to these problems.
