The South Korean conglomerate Samsung uses Samsung Internet for its Galaxy smartphones. It comes pre-installed on all Galaxy devices and has a number of useful features. Despite this, the browser doesn’t have a desktop version. Well, this is now going to change. According to some recent pieces of information, the Samsung Internet is now making its appearance on Windows PCs based on Windows 10 or higher. The new development was spotted by folks at SamMobile, who even tried it on a Windows PC.
The good part is that it can now be downloaded on the Chrome-based browser from the Microsoft Store. Another great aspect for Samsung users is that their data will sync from phone to PC and vice versa if they log in with a Samsung account. Because of this, more consumers might choose to use Samsung Internet rather than competing browsers that also offer cross-device data syncing.
Besides this, it appears that the browser lacks a password-syncing feature. It can now sync open tabs, browsing history, saved pages, and bookmarks. You can import data from other browsers, such as Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome, into the Samsung browser. It weighs around 130MP and can be downloaded on all eligible Windows PCs and laptops. It has a resemblance to the Android-based version. Additionally, extensions from the Chrome Web Store and ad blockers are supported by the browser. You have the option to browse secretly in incognito mode and swap between light and dark modes.
On Windows, Samsung Internet’s performance is rather mediocre. The browser is incapable of supporting even a 60Hz refresh rate, as scrolling is extremely slow. Samsung obviously needs to improve its performance, as it stands in striking contrast to the Android version of the app.
